Carissa joined Yates, Campbell & Hoeg as associate attorney in January 2020. She practices in the areas of trust and estate planning, administration, and elder law. Prior to joining the firm, Carissa clerked for the Fairfax Commissioner of Accounts, John H. Rust, Jr.
Carissa is a graduate of the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University. During law school, she was an AmeriCorps JD intern at Legal Services of Northern Virginia, where she assisted the Elder Justice Clinic in providing legal services to victims of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation. She has also worked at the American Bar Association’s Commission on Law & Aging and AARP Foundation Litigation.
Carissa is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys
